You will need:
  • A full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification or above
  • An excellent understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to lead and inspire others
  • Ability to build strong relationships with line managers, staff, families and outside agencies
  • Ability to remain calm in difficult situations and deal with them in a solution focussed manner
 
Deputy Manager Duties include:
  • Provide leadership in training staff and deliver high quality practice within the nursery.
  • Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues.
  • To assist with office-based duties including managing resources, budget control, parent enquiries, marketing and recruitment, in the Nursery Manager’s Absence.
  • To write clear reports and oversee record keeping
  • Ability to manage difficult situations in a calm manner
