Description Kiddykare is supporting this lovely nursery based in the Woking area to find a Senior room manager and a qualified early years educator.

The Senior Room Manager has a duty of care for all children placed in their care and overall management within the area. The Senior Room Manager is responsible for the overall management within the room in order to ensure the legal and curriculum requirements are met in line with the policies and procedures. They are responsible for ensuring all staff prepare and supervise suitable activities to create and develop a stimulating environment in order to provide a high level of quality childcare whilst maintaining a professional and positive outcome for both children and staff. They are also responsible for communicating with the Manager regarding the activities and progress in the room and coordinating the relevant short and medium-term planning in line with the business needs in order to meet the curriculum requirements.

The Qualified Early Years Educator has a duty of care for all children placed in their care to safeguard and promote the child’s welfare. You will be expected to work as part of a team to ensure the legal and curriculum requirements are met in line with the nurseries policies and procedures.

For both roles, you must:

•Experience of working with children under 5

•Experience of working in a full day care setting

•Good oral and written communication, literacy and numeracy skills

•Demonstrate the ability to listen and coach other staff members

•Ability to work as part of a team

•Ability to communicate with children and adults.

•A working knowledge of staff training and development

•Knowledge of childcare legislative polices and their implementation

•Demonstrate a caring and patient attitude

•Good professional attitude e.g. dress, conduct flexibility and mutual respect for others and a passion to work with children

•Promote diversity throughout the setting

The nursery is open Monday to Friday, 7:30-6:30 and closed on bank holidays and 1 week during Christmas.

You will be required to work shift patterned hours of 40 hours per week.

Salary is £15,500 to £19,750 pa DOE
