How to become a KiddyKare nanny

We look for Nannies who are reliable with childcare experience, love working with children, and can provide the following confirmable information:

Minimum two years of childcare experience
Minimum of two fully checkable references from previous employers
Minimum of two proofs of identity: Passport, Drivers Licence, Birth Certificate, Work Permits/Visas.
Current and valid DBS Check
Inspection of original childcare certificate(s) of qualification and other relevant certificates
Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid Training certificate (or willing to undertake an Paediatric First Aid Course)
Full UK working rights (full valid UK work visa)
Ofsted Registered or willing to register (not mandatory)
Clean driving licence valid in the UK (driving licence not mandatory)

We will only ever send you to families that are right for you both personally and professionally.

Tips for Interviews

We believe the most important aspect for any successful interview is to be prepared, be yourself and try to relax.

Arrive 5 minutes early
Dress professionally
Be aware of your body language, make eye contact
Remember first/last impressions
If children are present – get down to their level, interact, engage and respond
Don’t be negative be natural, honest, a good listener and smile!
Take along some questions you have put together
Talk about the job description, children’s routines

We’ve been working with KiddyKare for a long time now and they’re always our first point of call if we’re short staffed. Nothing is ever too much, and their communication is second to none. As well as our usual weekly bookings they can also send cover for us at very short notice, which is always a massive help.
