Nursery Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join an established nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development through play and structured activities. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and learning of young children while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, creativity, and exploration.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their development.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, always ensuring effective communication.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment that meets health and safety standards.
  • Support the management team in implementing policies and procedures to enhance the quality of care provided.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to continuously improve practice.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential for this role.
