KiddyKare are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join our temping team!
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who shares KiddyKare's passion for excellence in education?
KiddyKare are looking for an experienced and confident Teaching Assistant to join their temping team. You will visit different schools across the borough supporting over EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
You have the power to choose the days in which you work. Hours would be based on an average school day, mainly between the hours of 8:45am to 15:15pm.
KiddyKare offer holiday pay, a pension option and excellent rate of pay, all wrapped up with on hand childcare qualified consultants.

How will I be paid?
Unlike some agencies KiddyKare don't use an umbrella company. We pay the employe
rs pension, income tax, and employer NI. This means the hourly rate offered is the amount you receive in your bank account minus government deductions, this will be clear and correct with HMRC guidelines.

Term Time Deputy Manager

KiddyKare is proud to be supporting a well-established, high-quality early years setting in London in their search for a passionate and experienced Term Time Deputy Manager. This is a great opportunity to join a thriving and forward-thinking nursery as a key member of the leadership team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of the setting, deputising for the Manager when required, and ensuring that children receive exceptional education and care in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

This role also involves taking the lead on promoting health and wellbeing across the setting, working closely with external professionals, and championing high standards in early years practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager with all aspects of operational leadership.

  • Lead by example, guiding and supporting staff in delivering excellent care and education.

  • Contribute to staff development through supervision, mentoring, and performance management.

  • Ensure effective daily operations, including staff deployment and maintaining statutory ratios.

  • Promote a whole-setting approach to health and wellbeing, including overseeing relevant health checks and external partnerships.

  • Support the inclusion of all children, working collaboratively on plans for those with additional needs.

  • Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure compliance with EYFS and relevant legislation.

  • Foster strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.

  • Assist with administration, budgets, contingency planning, and quality improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent).

  • Previous experience in a Deputy or senior early years role within a nursery or preschool.

  • Confident in leading teams and supporting the professional growth of colleagues.

  • Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, SEND, and inclusive practice.

  • Able to work collaboratively with families and professionals to support children’s health, development, and wellbeing.

  • Organised, proactive, and passionate about continuous improvement and high-quality provision.

What you will be doing

  • Provide an inclusive, stimulating environment that meets the diverse needs of every child and supports their overall development.
  • Implement and review effective procedures to monitor, assess, and enhance the quality of care and educational practice.
  • Promote clear, open, and professional communication with children, colleagues, parents, and carers.
  • Build and maintain supportive and collaborative working relationships within the staff team.
  • Ensure all nursery policies, procedures, and daily practices are fully aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Contribute to setting, monitoring, and reviewing individual staff objectives and professional development goals.
  • Take responsibility for leading a playroom and carry out additional managerial duties when necessary.
  • Oversee spending and ensure financial resources are managed in accordance with agreed budgets.
