This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate childcare professional to support the day-to-day running of a busy nursery, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.

The Role
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the overall management of the setting. You will help lead the team, maintain high standards of care and education, and step into a leadership role in the Manager’s absence.

  • Assist in leading, motivating, and supervising staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early years education
  • Help plan and implement engaging activities that support children’s development across all areas
  • Build positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on children’s progress
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and all relevant childcare regulations
  • Support recruitment, staff training, and performance management
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, development progress, and staff rotas
  • Assist in organising staff meetings and ongoing professional development sessions
  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance the nursery’s reputation within the local community

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to support and inspire a team
  • Solid experience working directly with children in a childcare environment
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding, childcare regulations, and early years frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A valid driving licence is desirable

What’s on Offer
This role offers the opportunity to support the leadership of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional care and education. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a positive environment for children and staff while developing their own leadership skills within a supportive setting.

If you are an enthusiastic and experienced childcare professional ready to take the next step into a Deputy Manager role, KiddyKare would love to hear from you.
