KiddyKare is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and welcoming nursery for an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate childcare professional to take the lead in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy nursery setting, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.

The Role
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the nursery, leading a team of staff to deliver outstanding childcare and early years education. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards, building strong relationships with parents, and ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily running of the nursery, including staff scheduling, resource management, and operational planning
  • Lead, motivate, and support the nursery team to deliver high-quality care and education
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that support children’s development across all areas
  • Build positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates and support
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and all relevant childcare regulations
  • Manage recruitment, training, and performance of staff members
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, development progress, and staff rotas
  • Organise team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Support initiatives to enhance the nursery’s reputation within the local community

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a management role within a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
  • Extensive hands-on experience working with children in a childcare environment
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, childcare regulations, and early years frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A valid driving licence is desirable
