KiddyKare is delighted to be supporting a well‑established childcare provider in their search for an experienced Nursery Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate leader who is committed to delivering exceptional early years care and driving high standards across a thriving setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day‑to‑day operations of the nursery, ensuring a positive, collaborative environment for children, families, and staff.

  • Set, implement, and monitor nursery goals, ensuring all operational tasks and targets are achieved.

  • Manage and support staff teams, including inductions, appraisals, training, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.

  • Maintain outstanding levels of care and ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and Health & Safety requirements.

  • Oversee budgets, fees, payroll processes, and occupancy targets.

  • Lead on parent engagement, including parent evenings, open days, and nursery events.

  • Ensure all communication—emails, enquiries, and documentation—is handled professionally and promptly.

  • Maintain and update nursery policies, procedures, and operational records.

  • Support marketing efforts and manage waiting lists to maximise occupancy.

  • Organise staff training and monitor its effectiveness.

  • Ensure the nursery environment remains safe, clean, and well‑maintained at all times.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Nursery Manager or in a senior leadership role within early years.

  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, childcare legislation, and statutory requirements.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.

  • Confident in managing budgets, staff performance, and operational targets.

  • Highly organised with strong problem‑solving and time‑management abilities.

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
