Job Title: Room Leader – Nursery Setting
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Room Leader to join a leading nursery provider in the St Albans. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and inspire a team in a nurturing, educational environment, where you will make a significant impact on young children’s development.
 
About the Role: As a Room Leader, you will oversee the delivery of age-appropriate activities and curriculum, ensuring the children in your care receive a stimulating, supportive, and inclusive learning experience. You will guide and support a team of practitioners, ensuring high standards of care and learning are achieved across the nursery. Your leadership will foster a positive environment for both the children and your team, ensuring that every child’s progress is tracked and communicated with parents.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning and execution of educational activities, tailored to the children’s age and developmental stage. Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration. Ensure children’s development and wellbeing are nurtured, tracking their progress and sharing updates with parents. Take on the role of Key Person, attending to the holistic development and personal care needs of the children in your care. Uphold health and safety standards to maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment for all.
Ideal Candidate: Hold ABCDEF14 3 qualification or above in early years education. Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Manager, or Senior Practitioner). Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. Passionate about supporting children’s development and building positive relationships with families.
