We’re looking for a confident and motivated Room Leader to join our warm, welcoming nursery team and lead high-quality practice within one of our rooms.

Your Role

  • Lead the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring outstanding care and education
  • Deliver and embed high-quality practice in line with the EYFS framework
  • Plan, implement, and oversee engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Observe, assess, and track children’s development accurately
  • Act as a key person and support other key persons within the room
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
  • Support, mentor, and guide room staff to maintain excellent standards
  • Work closely with senior leaders to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times

Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • Promote and uphold a strong safeguarding culture within the nursery
  • Recognise, respond to, and report safeguarding concerns appropriately
  • Follow child protection and online safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR
  • Work in partnership with senior staff to ensure children’s welfare is always prioritised

The Ideal Candidate

  • Level 3 Early Years Qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience in an early years setting, ideally in a senior or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • A caring, professional, and proactive approach
  • Confident leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education
